Telecommunications Foreman

We are seeking a Telecommunications Foreman to become an integral part of our team! You will configure and install aerial data communication systems as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities :

Supervise installation and maintenance of communication systems :

Oversee the setup and upkeep of various communication infrastructures, ensuring all installations meet industry standards and are completed efficiently.

Provide training and support to telecommunications personnel :

Conduct training sessions for new and existing team members on the latest techniques and safety protocols, fostering a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.

Investigate customer issues and design appropriate solutions :

Analyze and resolve client concerns related to telecommunications systems, providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in aerial telecommunications installations, electrical engineering, or other related fields :

Demonstrated expertise in installing and managing telecommunications systems in various environments, with a focus on aerial installations.

Experienced with telecommunications Fiberoptic equipment :

Proficient in working with single fiber optic systems, including splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.

Experienced with GPON Fiberoptic equipment :

Skilled in handling Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) equipment, ensuring efficient and reliable data transmission over fiber optic networks.

Experienced with aerial line lashing :

Competent in securely fastening aerial cables using lashing techniques to ensure stability and durability of communication lines.

Experienced with messenger cable installation :

Adept at installing messenger cables, providing necessary support for aerial cables and ensuring proper tension and alignment.

Experienced with utility pole attachments :

Skilled in attaching cables and equipment to utility poles, following safety regulations and ensuring reliable communication pathways.

Experienced with ground anchor (guy wire) attachments and installations :

Proficient in installing ground anchors and guy wires to stabilize utility poles and other structures, enhancing the safety and integrity of installations.

Experience with teaching and training :

Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and train team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team performance.

Optional but highly desired : CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) :

Possessing a CDL is a significant advantage, allowing for the operation of commercial vehicles necessary for transporting equipment and team members to job sites.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills :

Ability to assess complex situations, identify potential issues, and develop effective solutions to ensure project success.

Strong attention to detail :

Meticulous in performing tasks, ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the highest standards.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills :

Capable of conveying information clearly and concisely, both in writing and orally, facilitating effective teamwork and customer interactions.
