Qualifications :
Join the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team as a Senior Environmental Engineer / Scientist to support Boeing locations in Southern California!
This position supports multiple Boeing locations in Southern California, such as Huntington Beach, CA, Long Beach, CA, Victorville, CA, and regionally as needed.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and experience across multiple environmental media (Air Quality, Hazardous Waste, Industrial Waste Water, SARA Reporting, Storm Water, etc).
As well as a direct experience supporting environmental compliance per the requirements of the California environmental regulatory agencies.
Boeing Global Services has a wide variety of operations and services to support both commercial and military customers. The selected candidate will develop strategies and direct the integration of environmental management systems, processes and programs to support multiple sites and facilities.
The candidate will also develop protocols for and lead compliance reviews of internal processes and practices. The person in this role will partner closely with site leadership, advising and supporting ongoing compliance for current and future work statements.
Position Responsibilities :
Leads the development, implementation, sustainment and administration of environmental management systems, processes and compliance programs;
develops associated strategies and directs the integration support multiple sites and facilities
Leads and develops compliance reviews of internal processes and practices, and developing protocols as needed
Acts as focal for environmental emergency response activities
Evaluates facility conditions and recommends alternatives
Leads site interface with regulatory agencies
Provides enterprise wide consultant expertise and leads independent reviews
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of experience with environmental compliance, environmental program management
5+ years of experience in areas of air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, storage tanks, environmental sampling, data analysis, and environmental reporting
5+ years of experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in environmental science, chemistry, biology, geology, environmental management or engineering
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with environmental compliance and regulations
Environmental Permitting Experience
Typical Education / Experience :
Senior (Level 4)
Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.
g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 5)
Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.
g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Level 4 : $96,050 $150,650
Summary pay range for Level 5 : $119,000 - $186,300
