At Johnson & Johnson, we all belong. This role will support the Joints Tech Ops team within DePuy Synthes and focus on installation, maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing equipment, while ensuring appropriate records are maintained.

Key Responsibilities : Under limited supervision, general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws / regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position :

• Inspects, completes, and coordinates maintenance of manufacturing equipment which may include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
• Plans, coordinates, and performs installation, setups, and changeovers of machinery
• Tests and adjusts as needed
• Diagnoses and repairs malfunctioning equipment
• Recommends and implements process improvements
• Updates required documentation, including maintenance and repair logs
• Prepares trouble reports for malfunctioning equipment
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Applies safety procedures to all work
• Orders parts and supplies in accordance with department procedures
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
• Performs other duties assigned as needed Qualifications Education :
• Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associates
• 4-6 Years Work Experience Experience and Skills : Required :
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Related equipment maintenance experience and / or training
• Able to work in an ISO Class 8 Clean Room environment requiring gowning
• Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer) required
• Able to supply own hand tools / rollaway toolbox (i.e., screw drivers, socket wrenches, etc.)
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to support cross functional teams including Quality, Operations & Engineering
• The ability to lift heavy loads. Stand and / or walk more than 90% of the time and perform twisting and turning activities and in a manufacturing / machine shop environment is required
• Must be able to be On Call for a week every other month as required to support 24 / 7 manufacturing operations Preferred :
• Training in machining operations and / or electrical / electronic
• Clean room experience is a plus
• The ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics
