Job Description
The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue to Biltmore within their assigned group market(s), territories or sales channels.
Sales objectives may include deliverables for room nights, function space, tickets, private events, F&B, activities, specialty programming or other sales initiatives assigned by the Director of Sales.
A variety of sales, leadership and business skills will be utilized to develop and implement overall market strategy and tactics.
The Account Manager will develop short and long-range strategies to cultivate their assigned market(s) or sales channels, requiring business travel for sales calls and industry trade events.
The position will also host site visits and FAMS, while balancing a series of other sales initiatives designed to drive interest and conversion.
Strong interpersonal skills as well as exemplary written and oral communication skills are paramount for success in this position.
Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to negotiate complex legal agreements are all important components of the role.
A successful candidate must also be skilled in multi-tasking, driven by success and have a keen sense of urgency and service aptitude for the hospitality industry.
Essential Job Duties :
1. Maintain successful production within the assigned market segment(s) or sales channel(s), regularly accomplishing corporate revenue targets.

3. Display exemplary sales skills in all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting, client engagement and conversion
4. Develop long-range and short-term strategic sales plans for assigned market(s) or sales channel(s)
5. Ability to travel locally, regionally or nationally for sales calls and industry trade events
6. Represent Biltmore as a polished sales professional
7. Leverage strong communication skills (written and oral)

Qualifications :
1. High school degree as a minimum. Two or four-year college degree preferred. Additional education, training and / or certification(s) desirable.
2. At least three (3) years of experience in hospitality sales; Biltmore experience is highly desirable.
3. Equivalent combination of education / experience considered. Ideal candidate will have direct sales experience within an attraction, hotel, museum, historic site or related environment.
4. Keen knowledge of sales markets and market nuances is required
5. Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class internal / external guest service.
6. Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; ability to quickly learn Biltmore’s operating and booking platforms, procedures, products and services, including all sales systems for events rooms and tickets
7. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to convey information clearly and concisely and engage in a one-on-one or large group setting;
public speaking skills; ability to build and maintain positive relationships both within and outside the company.
8. Ability to lead and influence teams and individuals to efficiently and effectively get tasks and projects completed through a collaborative process
9. Excellent planning, organizational, time and project management skills; keen attention to detail; focus on quality, exceptional service;

with clients and internal partners)
13. Independent decision-making ability to determine when on-site presence is required (without direction) to meet a group or oversee a particular series of events (i.e. large group)
