Construction Human Resources Specialist Position Overview : We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, within the construction industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all HR duties, including compliance with rules and regulations, overseeing hiring processes, managing benefits packages, conducting onboarding and interviews, and supporting employee relations.

Construction Human Resources Specialist Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and construction industry regulations.
• Oversee all aspects of the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and hiring.
• Manage benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits packages.
• Conduct onboarding for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company, including training, paperwork, and orientation.
• Handle employee relations, resolving conflicts, and providing support to both management and staff.
• Maintain accurate employee records, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and attendance.
• Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with the company’s goals and culture.
• Support management in performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
• Ensure workplace safety protocols are adhered to, particularly relevant to the construction environment.

Construction Human Resources Specialist Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR specialist, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices in HR.
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, benefits management, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in HR software and tools, including applicant tracking systems (ATS).
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
