Shift Details : PRN float to cover shifts and PTO. 9 or 12 hour shifts M-F, and a 6 hour weekend shift, depending on the location.
Flexibility needed to float to our six Urgent Care Clinic locations including northwest Indianapolis, Fishers, Westfield, Brownsburg, Greenwood and Center Grove.
H ours can vary depending on location from M-F, 8 : 00 am - 8 : 00 pm and Saturdays-Sundays, 9 : 00 am - 3 : 00 pm.

General Statement of Duties :
The Advanced Practice Provider assess patients using skills and knowledge to identify orthopaedic related problems. This position provides patient access to orthopaedic and musculoskeletal care on a non-appointment basis functioning as a member of the Urgent Care Department.
Essential Duties :
- Provides direct patient treatment, including but not limited to : applying and / or removing casts / splints, simple wound care and repair, joint injection and aspiration, administration of local anesthetic and digital blocks, joint and fracture reduction, and application of braces, splints, and other DME and soft goods.
- Provides patient and family instruction on the proper use and care of braces, splints, and other DME products. Helps to counsel individuals and families about their health related issues.
Communicates individualized teaching plans to patients based on their needs.
- Plans and implements care of patients, including; EMR documentation, ordering additional studies, communicates with supervising Physicians and clinic staff, and prescribing appropriate medications.
- Assesses patients and assesses normal and abnormal findings obtained from history and physical examination as well as radiology and ancillary studies.
- Orders radiologic and laboratory tests and studies as necessary to complete history and physical examinations.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required, Master's Degree preferred
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or American Association of Nurse Practitioners certification required
- Indiana Physician Assistant Committee or Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses of Indiana certification required
- 1-2 years of experience preferred (urgent care or ER experience preferred)
