Position : Contracted School-Based LPN (1 : 1 Assignment)
Location : Wayne, PA
About Us : We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Contracted School LPN for a 1 : 1 assignment to provide comprehensive care to a student requiring tube feeds, seizure monitoring, and personal care assistance.
Responsibilities : In this role, your primary responsibilities will include :
- Providing direct nursing care and monitoring to a specific student who requires tube feeding, seizure monitoring, and personal care assistance.
- Administering tube feedings and medications according to the student's individualized healthcare plan.
- Monitoring the student for signs of seizures and responding promptly to any seizure activity.
- Assisting with activities of daily living, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene care.
- Performing regular assessments of the student's health status, vital signs, and overall well-being.
- Communicating effectively with the student's family, healthcare providers, and school staff to coordinate care and address any concerns.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of the student's health status, treatments, and interventions.
Qualifications : To excel in this role, you must possess :
- A valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Prior experience working with pediatric patients requiring tube feeding, seizure monitoring, and personal care assistance.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
- Knowledge of tube feeding protocols, seizure management strategies, and personal care techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to students with complex medical needs.
Contract Details : This is a contracted position with a specific assignment to support a student with specialized healthcare needs.
The duration of the contract and compensation will be determined based on the individual circumstances of the assignment.
