Responsibilities
- Sourcing
- Create and release RFPs / RFQs following the 7-step sourcing process
- Negotiates to targeted cost based on ideal cost level not just budget level
- Considers the business’ strategy and priorities during sourcing not just cost targets
- Tracks key market factors that impact commodity / project costs
- Source on time with the client’s needs in mind
- Market Intelligence
- Stay current with market trends for assigned commodities
- Help implement technological / process opportunities to keep business ahead of competition and improve operations
- Supplier Relations
- Build and strengthen supplier relationships
- Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders related to supplier performance
- Maintain high level of integrity to ensure all suppliers treated fairly
- Pricing
- Receive and validate pricing from supplier
- Maintain accurate records about pricing history
- Accurately forecast impact of price change
- Validate that requested price changes are accurate and include all documentation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree business, procurement, supply chain or related field required
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) CIPS Level 2 preferred
- 2+ years Sourcing in non-production commodities required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office : Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- SAP Ariba
