Senior Tax Manager needed to head up a team for a growing CPA firm!
What you will do :
- Supervise, manage and train a Tax Preparation Team of up to 10 in preparing business and individual tax returns.
- Direct and manage workflow and assign projects
- Participate in team member evaluations and critical personnel decisions
- Implement standard operating procedures
- Identify potential tax problems areas and propose solutions to clients
- Manage multiple tax and accounting projects and client engagements communicate with partners, staff & clients regarding expectations, status of engagement and other matters as needed
- Analyzes / Reviews IRS notices and drafts responses audits and inquiries
- Consult with clients as needed on special projects
- Support the firm by participation in committees, training, recruitment & proactive involvement in planning for the future
- Participate as a member of the firm and develop positive working relationships with team members
- Follow all applicable policies and procedures
Experience you must have :
- Preparing and reviewing individual and small business tax returns with various schedules and multi-state returns.
- Reviewing financial statements
- Software such as Drake Tax, Grutnworx, ProConnect, Intuit and ATOM
Requirements :
- MUST be a CPA or EA
- Min 5+ years of recent TAX and ACCOUNTING experience with a public accounting firm
- Expert in QuickBooks desktop and online
- Microsoft Office proficiency and Google Docs and Sheets
- Superior communication and people skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Technical knowledge of accounting and tax concepts
- Self-motivated
- Strong analytical and research skills
$130k Compensation based on experience plus 100% paid medical for employee, PTO, Sick and Paid Holidays
