Process / Production Engineer
A global leader in the chemical industry is expanding its Chemical Production Team and seeking a dedicated Process / Production Engineer.
This role is crucial for supporting plant operations, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring compliance with EHS and PSM regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Production Support : Provide daily support for batch and continuous chemical operations, troubleshooting and resolving process and equipment issues.
- Process Optimization : Track production yields, perform mass balances, and manage process improvement projects to enhance safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and cost.
- Operational Efficiency : Support process downtime and runtime, and manage production, material planning, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
- Safety and Compliance : Participate in PSM initiatives, audits, and implement change management processes, including MOC, PSSR, P&ID, hazard reviews, SOPs, SPC, and SQC.
- Incident Management : Lead incident investigations and problem-solving sessions related to safety, quality, production, and reliability.
- Team Training : Assist in training operations teams to ensure high standards of performance and safety.
Requirements
Qualifications :
- Education : BS in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years as a Process / Production Engineer in PSM-regulated chemical operating plants.
- Skills : Experience with Lean / Six Sigma, continuous improvement, PHA, MOC, and P&IDs. Familiarity with process unit operations and controls such as reactors, distillation, polymerization, esterification, filtration, dryers, twin-screw extrusion, and heat treatment.
- Work Authorization : Must be able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
