We’re seeking a future team member for the role of SALES SVP to join our GROWTH VENTURES : Data & Analytics team. This role is located in New York City, NC. - HYBRID

BNY Mellon’s Data and Analytics is a leading software and services business in the financial services industry. We are hiring for an experienced, results-driven Sales professional with responsibilities within a specified market segment.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways :

  • Working with the Head of Sales, this position will effectively develop and qualify sales leads, build customer relations and close essential business
  • Successful candidate will engage in continuous, interactive and highly personalized dialogues that drive company revenue and customer satisfaction across North America
  • Must be innovative, highly enthusiastic, and motivated to work in a growing, high potential market segment
  • Will have direct responsibility for developing new client relationships, and will also be expected to assist with the implementation of sales / sales support plans to meet overall objectives

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following :

  • Proven record of successful meeting and exceeding monthly / quarterly / annual software sales quotas
  • Ability to identify key decision-makers within prospect companies
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong customer relationships in region
  • Experience in the financial industry required, with a strong preference towards ASP / Cloud solutions solution sales
  • Desire to work in a team environment, wherein time-sensitive and business-savvy decisions must be made in order to best meet client expectations and company goals
  • Should have good presentation skill
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or equivalent work experience required
  • Relevant sales position experience within Financial Services required
  • Extensive travel across North America is likely to be required

Qualifications : Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced / graduate degree preferred.

years of total work experience preferred. Financial Services experience with a particular client type or product (Hedge, Pension, etc.

preferred as is prior experience in a related customer-facing role, Sales Support, Global Capital Markets or Product Management.

Applicable local / regional licenses or certifications as required by the business. A good understanding of the relevant marketplace, competitive landscape and industry drivers in the relevant region is preferred.

As global firm, bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local / cultural nuances important for client trust
