Urban Owl is looking for a responsible Assistant Retail Store Manager that is ready to expand their skills, make lasting connections and are passionate about supporting a small business's growth.
Our ideal candidate is a top seller skilled at organizing and solving problems. Interpersonal skills are a must to fill in for the Store Manager when needed.
Responsibilites are, but not limited to :
- Meet daily sales goal.
- Track & report the progress of monthly, quarterly and annual objectives.
- Overseeing daily retail operations.
- Co-Developing with the store manager an aggressive sales strategy and implement it.
- Monitor and maintain backroom supplies inventory.
- Evaluate employee performance alongside manager to identify hiring and training needs
- Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best.
- Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates.
- Create reports, analyze and interpret retail data, like revenues, expenses and competition.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is functionable and presentable.
- Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines.
Requirements and skills :
- Sales experience in a retail environment : 2 years (Required)
- Retail management : 2 years (Required)
- Proven experience as a Retail Assistant Manager or similar position
- Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes
- Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
- Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics
- Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Leadership and organizational abilities
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving attitude
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends and nights.
- BSc / BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc / MA is a plus.
