HBI is seeking a highly skilled professional to manage Marketing and Communications. The Senior Marketing and Communications Officer plays a crucial role in shaping and executing the strategic vision for all HBI marketing and communication efforts and serves as a senior advisor that supports the organization's needs in order to enhance our brand's visibility and impact.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

External Communications

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies and media partners.
  • Maximize the reach and effectiveness of marketing and communications efforts.
  • Support stewardship efforts and oversee the creation of collateral for HBI's donors, supporters and key stakeholder (e.

g., donor reports, annual giving and planned giving campaigns).

  • Create and disseminate compelling and impactful content across various channels, including digital media, social media, print and direct marketing campaigns.
  • Establish, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communications initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

Brand Strategy

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a strong, consistent brand identity.
  • Ensure all marketing and communications materials reflect the organization's brand and values.
  • Promote HBI's brand strategy, architecture, naming and messaging.
  • Support and manage marketing campaigns as well as HBI's external contractor on the creation of HBI's blog and monthly newsletter and the planning and coordination of monthly video and photo shoots.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing and communications strategies are aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Incorporate industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in branding and marketing campaigns, and organizational branding strategies.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth

Digital Marketing

  • Create and publish digital marketing content online, as well as create content for HBI's website and digital channels.
  • Monitor digital traffic, social media and Google analytics.
  • Oversee all external marketing.
  • Create a social media strategy and editorial calendar,
  • Proactively identify and follow strategic partners.
  • Drive visibility and participation in fundraising campaigns by :
  • Collaborate with the development team to create compelling donor communication materials and campaigns.
  • Create impactful digital assets, including graphics, videos, and landing pages that support fundraising campaigns across various digital platforms, including email, social media, and websites.
  • Utilizing email marketing tools to design and deploy compelling fundraising appeals and donor communications.
  • Monitoring and analyzing campaign performance metrics, such as conversion rates and donation trends and provide insight and recommendations based on these analytics.
  • Incorporating digital marketing trends and best practices, applying new marketing techniques to enhance fundraising effectiveness.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

Usual office-type working conditions; routine physical conditions include walking, carrying, standing, hearing / listening, and sitting; travel 20% anticipated.

Internal : HBI Executive Team, HBI Board of Trustees, and staff at all levels

External : Contractors, Stakeholders, sponsors and partners

QUALIFICATIONS

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing and communications, including direct accountability for developing and executing enterprise brand strategies

Preferred

  • Related master's degree
  • Seven (7) years of experience, with two (2) years in a leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in brand management and digital marketing
  • Experience with SEO, web analytics, Google Adwords, CRM software (such as Saleforce), and other digital marketing tools.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing and communications strategies, within the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated experience applying leadership and management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
