Job Posting Summary

The School of Health and Natural Sciences at Mercy University invites qualified candidates to be considered for the position of Adjunct Faculty of Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at our Dobbs Ferry campus.

Priority needs for faculty with expertise in pediatric assessment and interventions. Experience in teaching is a must.

Qualifications

Education Requirements :

Graduate of an ACOTE accredited OT or OTA Program Master’s degree (OT) or a Master’s in a related field with initial certification as an OT or OTArequired.

Other Qualifications :

  • Current Certification with NBCOT
  • New York State License or eligibility for a NY License as an Occupational Therapist or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Teaching at the collegiate level preferred
  • Commitment to working with a diverse population of undergraduate students.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Physical / Other Requirements :

  • Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per University policies.

Compensation is based on a semester and calculated on a semi-monthly pay cycle.

Mercy University promotes a community campus environment. As a result, employment is limited to the following states : New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

Applicants outside of those states or the USA will be required to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible moves.
