Territory Manager - Industrial (Los Angeles / San Bernardino County, CA) Position Description Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for a full range of account management activities associated with selling and servicing a +$2M geographic territory comprised of medium to large distribution, industrial, welding, construction and end use customers.

Market segments are exceptionally diverse with a focus on Metal Fab, Aerospace, Cutting Tool and Oil and Gas Markets. This territory has significant growth potential in a wide variety of applications.

The candidate would work closely with traditional industrial, national, welding and construction distribution. The territory geography encompasses Southern California in San Bernardino, N.

Los Angeles and Kern counties. A significant 2017 Opportunities Pipeline has been identified to be developed and won. Cost saving activities and documentation as well as opportunities development and execution are critical.

The candidate would work closely with traditional industrial as well as national distribution.

Required Qualifications

This position requires an individual with a proven track record who is a self-starter, highly motivated, creative, personable team player and can succeed with minimal supervision.

A Bachelor’s Degree and / or equivalent experience is required. The incumbent should have proven sales and marketing skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.

Proven analytical, negotiating problem-solving and organizational skills are necessary. This means the incumbent must be skilled at working with & cultivating relationships with Welding, Industrial, & Construction Distribution in the territory.

Skills required include working with distributor salespeople, training presentations & demonstrations, POP installation & maintenance activity, and regular planning & review of target account growth plans.

The incumbent will need to be capable in all Microsoft Office software, web applications, contact management database software and other forms of data mining and analysis.
