Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineer Electrical 2 for an opportunity in Newport News, VA.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience OR Master’s degree and 0 years’ experience OR PDP apprentice certificate and 1 year of engineering experience.
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Experience in the application of project management techniques
Shipbuilding experience
Previous NAVY experience
Strong in written and verbal communication
Knowledgeable of electrical distribution systems
Knowledgeable of instrumentation and control systems
Required PPEEar Muffs, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots
EDUCATION :
Bachelors in Science or Masters is required.
School must be accredited.
HOURS :
5 / 40 workweek, First Shift 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00. May consider part-time telework
