We seek a Special Education Teacher with a valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) certification to join our team on a contract basis.
In this role, you will work with elementary students across various needs, including Autism , Emotional Disturbance , and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) .
The ideal candidate will provide individualized instructional support in a cross-categorical setting, helping students achieve academic and emotional success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' learning goals.
- Provide specialized instruction and interventions for students with Autism and emotional challenges.
- Utilize SEL techniques to support social-emotional growth within the classroom.
- Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment that promotes academic achievement.
- Collaborate with parents, administrators, and other educational staff to align strategies and monitor student progress.
- Regularly assess and adjust teaching strategies based on student data and outcomes.
Qualifications :
- LBS1 Certification (Required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in cross-categorical instructional settings.
- Knowledge of best practices for Autism, emotional disturbance, and SEL support.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
