Quality Engineer
Job Description
Utilize modern quality principles, concepts, and methods to continuously enhance processes, reduce costs, and ensure the quality of products and services.
Provide quality assurance support to establish and maintain ISO 9001 certification. Develop and maintain controls and processes for nonconforming materials.
Create and maintain procedures, work instructions, forms, and training materials for various departments. Conduct and document first article inspections.
Perform closed-loop corrective actions and root cause analysis. Drive process improvement initiatives to completion. Participate in design reviews to identify risks and opportunities related to quality standards and requirements early in the product life cycle.
Collaborate with other functions to resolve issues efficiently without compromising quality. Perform other duties as assigned.
Hard Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Quality Management Systems (AS9100 and ISO9001)
- Experience in internal auditing
- Practical experience with IPC-A-610 standards
- Performing receiving and in-process inspections in a manufacturing environment

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Chatsworth, California.
Work Environment
Smaller company reporting directly to the General Manager who does not sit on-site. Needs to be able to manage themselves.
