Overview :

We are seeking an entry-level Shop Technician to support our service team in our Deerfield Beach office. The Shop Technician will assemble and set up multi-function printers.

Additional responsibilities include basic connectivity, maintaining parts inventory, lifting up to 100 lbs. at times, riding to customer sites for deliveries and installation of new equipment, and occasional work in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities :

• Unbox and assemble multi-functional printers.
• Implement proper usage of parts, tools, test equipment, and storage procedures.
• Maintain a consistent work schedule.
• Aid other technicians with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Participate in training and self-study programs to gain and maintain appropriate product knowledge.
• Complete equipment installation according to schedule.
• Communicate with customers, dispatch personnel, and service manager to resolve problems expediently.
• Complete required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

Required Education and Experience :

• Associate degree in electronics or similar.
• Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting and repair of assigned equipment.
• Experience servicing copiers and printers is a plus
• Ricoh, Lexmark, HP, and Konica Minolta
• Computer Networking
• Experience installing copiers and printers

Additional skills required :

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Understanding of network systems and troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.

Work Environment

• Work in areas that require attention to detail in a varied environment.
• May spend long hours sitting or standing.
• Some physical effort is required, which may involve bending, reaching, stretching, or similar activities, as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Frequent walking, standing, and crouching.
• Occasional local driving to customer sites.
