Description
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Power and Signal Integrity (PI / SI) Design Engineer to join a small but growing Processor Design group, advancing the art of high performance CPU circuit design.
In this role as a senior PI / SI design engineer, you will be in a design lead role responsible for performing system-level power and signal integrity analyses of various critical power domains and high-speed signal routes.
This role will provide opportunities to work across multiple teams across different geographies within Ampere to ensure a robust implementation of next generation systems.
What You'll Do :
- Work with product engineers to develop system-level PI / SI specifications
- Develop methodologies to help simulate and validate system-level design implementation meets these specifications
- Reviews implementations and provide feedback to design teams to help improve overall design
- Develop post-silicon test plans to help characterize and ensure spec compliance
- Develop customer-facing specification and document, and take customers through the specs as required
- Work with other junior engineers to provide leadership and technical guidance
What You'll Bring :
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- Extensive expertise in PI / SI analyses methods with in-depth understanding of key concepts like time domain and frequency domain analysis etc.
- In-depth knowledge of power delivery network architectures and optimization techniques, high-speed signal routing techniques
- Familiarity with Server platforms / systems is a plus
- Experience with PowerSI, PowerDC and / or other equivalent industry standard tools

Pay and Benefits
Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, stock, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $129,000 and $215,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $143,000 and $238,000.
We also offer an annual bonus program tied to internal company goals and annual meritocratic stock awards that enable our employees to participate in the success of the company.
