Schedule : Mon-Thurs 8pm-6am

Impact Workforce Solutions is hiring for Legrand (Canonsburg, PA) . We are currently looking for a 3rd shift Manufacturing Assembler.

Manufacturing Assembler Job Summary :

Assembler 1 manufactures and assembles a variety of configurations of mechanical and basic electrical assemblies used in electrical distribution systems.

Essential Functions :

• Read shop drawings and wiring diagrams
• Read Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units
• Make electrical connections according to specifications
• Assemble parts, and position, align, and fasten assemblies, subassemblies, using hand tools and power tools.
• Modify parts by drilling, tapping, countersinking, etc. machine tools, power, and pneumatic hand tools.
• Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
• Measure parts to determine tolerances, using tape measures and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Attach labels and mark identifying information on parts.
• Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices including the SECRIT values.

Additional Duties :

• Cross training to work in other functional department of the plant
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Tool selection - determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to read shop drawings and wiring diagrams preferred.
• Ability to read standard tape measure.
• Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience in manufacturing preferred

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements :

• Lifting : Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. often.
• Finger Dexterity : The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• Manual Dexterity : The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Arm-Hand Steadiness : The ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.
• Vision : The ability to see details at a close range and have the ability to tell the difference in the colors of wires.
