Job Purpose
This position serves the Sales & Distribution function to facilitate customer orders, build customer relationships, and support field sales efforts in maintaining and developing new business.
Principal Accountabilities
- Receive and process customer / distributor orders from receipt through delivery via SAP and internal systems.
- Communicates with customers to expedite orders and supply information related to current order status.
- Communicates with other marketing and sales personnel to ensure their respective information regarding customer accounts, availability of product and plant production schedules.
- Prepare project activities and special reports as requested by management.
- Assists marketing personnel in resolving problem accounts regarding product availability, credit and / or customer service.
Informs management regarding discrepancies in shipped or returned products.
- Develop and maintain customer data files which contains all necessary information to prepare and ship orders correctly and expediently to all customers.
- Work collaboratively with Customer Service team and cross functional departments.
- Facilitates efficient transportation of product to Customers including, but not limited to scheduling carriers and ensuring vendors maintain and comply with Company objectives.
- The employee is responsible for conducting their activities in adherence to the Company’s Safety, Internal Control, and Quality Management Systems and in compliance with all MCA corporate policies, procedures and training requirements.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Customer Service at a chemical plant preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of SAP.
- Detail oriented with basic mathematical comprehension.
- Salesforce or other CRM software a plus.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
- Knowledge of domestic and international logistics preferred.
- The employee needs to be able to communicate clearly, written and verbal, with external and internal contacts.
- The employee needs to be self-motivated and dependable.
- The job holder is required to complete all activities as assigned to complete the objectives as set by the business.
- The employee is required to help resolve customer-related issues.
Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
The salary range for this position is $26 hr - $28 hr DOE. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
