Provide direct care and assume primary responsibility for clinical management of patients in ambulatory or inpatient settings.

Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans.

Direct or participate in case management and continuing care. Collaborate, refer, and consult with department attending physicians, specialists, and other members of the health care team to deliver effective, efficient, safe, and high quality care.

Contribute to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects. Participate in education and research efforts for patients, families, and the health care team.

Education : Nurse practitioners are required to have, at minimum, a Master’s Degree as a Neonatal Nurse PractitionerPhysician Assistants-Certified (PA-C) are required to graduate from a nationally accredited physician assistant program.

Certification and Licensure : Neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) required for nurse practitionersPhysician Assistant Certified (PA-C) required for physician assistantsNRP certificationPALS certification required within 6 months of hire if working in Seattle Children’s Level IV NICULicensure (ARNP or PA-C) in the state of WADEA registration for the state of WAPreferred for NNP : Experience in the neonatal nurse practitioner role.

Experience in a Level III NICU as a registered nurse.Preferred for PA-C : One year work experience in a neonatal intensive care unit, Level II or higher.

Experience in the neonatal Physician Assistant role.Experience in a Level III NICU as a PA-C.Compensation Range$142,926 - $210,204 Annual USDSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
