We make and deliver building materials for the residential and commercial construction industry. We are produce engineering wood products, panels and lumber to build strong, environmentally friendly structures.
We deliver a broad range of products, from our own wood products to metal, cement, decking, and more. Job Duties : 50% or more travel required;
potential for recurring 3-week stays during construction and commissioning are commonMost projects over the next 5+ years will be in rural southeastern statesWhen not traveling, candidate can work fully remoteMost projects take 2 or more years to go from concept through installation & post-installation correctionsResponsible for developing, planning, and managing, the scope, budget, schedule, and execution of capital projects associated with wood products manufacturing ranging to $50 mm.
Responsible for design, cost estimation & planning projects pertaining to wood productsProvide appropriate designs, calculations, technology comparisons & construction specsProvide cost estimates, machinery and construction RFP's and contracts & requisitionsQuality assurance requirements, and installation and outage schedulesAutonomously lead and manage subsets of projects within the overall large-scale projectSupply technical and supervisory expertise for capital projectsJob Requirements8+ years experience in Wood Products or related industry Must have extensive experience managing CapEx projects up to $50 millionPE requiredB.
S. in Engineering Discipline w / Mechanical preferredM.S. in Mechanical Engineering preferredEngineering analytical ability to evaluate structural, electrical, machine, thermal, and fluid designs, in addition to PLC machinery sequencingProficient using AutoCAD, 3D solid modeling software (SolidWorks, Inventor), MS Office Suite, MS ProjectProficient reading and interpreting drawings, and confirming that field construction efforts comply with design documents.
