Customer Relations Associate
The Customer Relations Associate performs various customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information and direction to customers.
Essential functions include securing all firearms brought into the store with trigger locks, checking in all vendor representatives, completing the necessary visitor log information, and controlling visitor badges. They support a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. They greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner, handle customer's merchandise returns, complete refund / exchange paperwork, and sort returns by category and return to the proper area. They sell appropriate hunting and fishing licenses, handle and administer all incentive and reward programs, remain product knowledgeable, and remain aware of advertised sales. They keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies, follow all company policies and procedures, and provide a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions.
Experience / qualifications include a minimum degree required : high school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and ability include the ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers, communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and other associates, establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers, and operate a computerized point of sale register system.
Travel requirements are not applicable. Physical requirements include constantly standing and / or walking during the shift, constantly communicating with others to exchange information, constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and / or fingers, occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., occasionally working in low or high temperatures, occasionally working in noisy environments, and light work that includes constantly lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed). Independent judgment is required to complete work assignments, often making recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
