Vara Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Associate (PA) to join our healthcare team at Catholic Charities in Laredo, Texas.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality healthcare to underserved populations, including migrants.

This is a full-time, on-site position that requires a commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the community.

Responsibilities :

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients of all ages.
• Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, and provide patient education and counseling.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other support staff to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in community outreach and health education initiatives to promote wellness and disease prevention among migrants and other underserved populations.
• Stay current with medical research, best practices, and regulatory requirements to provide evidence-based care.

Qualifications :

• Valid and current license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate in the state of Texas.
• Certification as an FNP by the ANCC or AANP, or as a PA by the NCCPA.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or community health setting.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of health conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to compassionate and culturally sensitive care.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to serving underserved populations and working in a community health setting.
