What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Family Peer Recovery Coach works to engage family members and the prospective participant with the goal of fostering a willingness to accept available services.

The Family Coach provides information, education, and resources to family of participants to enable them to better support their loved one in their goals and / or recovery plan, whether it be while person is living independently or in the family home.

The Family Peer Recovery Coach provides direct support and case management services to assigned family members and participants and works closely with participants and their families to ensure that their needs are expressed and that they have a "voice" in their recovery plan.

In conjunction with the clinical team, the Family Peer Recovery Coach completes program intakes / assessments, facilitates groups, promotes engagement and provision of peer and family support services;

and serves as an advocate for the participant and family for services as a point of interaction between participant's family and the program.

Shifts Available :

Full Time; AM 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm; Sunday - Thursday (TEMPORARY Position)

Full Time; PM 3 : 00 pm - 11 : 30 pm; Tuesday - Saturday (TEMPORARY Position)

Expected starting wage range is $16.58 - $19.98. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed.

Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• Bachelor's Degree or at least two (2) years' experience in a mental health services environment
• At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a parent or primary caregiver of a person with behavioral health care needs
• Successful Completion of Family Peer Support Training within one year of hire.

Building on these successes, Telecare proposes to continue operating the voluntary 24-hour peer-to-peer Mental Health Urgent Care (MHUC) located at 85 Ramona expressway in Perris and expand to operate the voluntary 24-hour peer-to-peer MHUC in the Western County region located at 9890 County Farm Road in Riverside (County-owned facility).

Each program will provide a total capacity of 12 chairs. The Western County (Riverside) MHUC will serve adults ages 18+ only, whereas the Mid-County Western CSU will serve up to 12 adults at any given time.

The CSU will provide outpatient crisis stabilization services, lasting less than 24 hours, and will address conditions and circumstances that require a timelier response than a regularly scheduled clinic visit.
