Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a Transportation Engineer in San Antonio . We want to grow future leaders and technical experts and are deeply committed to employee development and training.

  • Project Management : client communication and reporting responsibilities, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities
  • Leadership and Mentoring : Serving as the technical lead in organizing and executing a program of project designs across our transportation practice.

Training younger staff in sound design practices.

  • Business Development : Assisting in pursuing future project opportunities, including events, conferences, and other networking activities
  • Technical Expertise : Leading and managing the analysis, design, and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates and technical reports for our transportation clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in roadway design with at least 3+ years of progressive project management experience
  • Texas Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed in Texas within 6 months)
  • Strong technical skills in roadway and drainage design
  • Experience with MicroStation and Geopak / Open Roads

Preferred Qualifications

  • Traffic engineering experience, evaluation or design
  • Client communication and reporting, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities
