Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) currently offers mental health services at 34 locations in the county, with 3 more opening in 2024.

Our mission is to expand access to quality care to everyone, with a special commitment to uninsured, low-income and medically underserved members of our community.

The Mental Health Department is growing every month! We need more dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists to join our non-profit.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide counseling sessions
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
  • Performs initial assessment and on-going care
  • Participates in the development of individualized care plans
  • Addresses co-occurring disorders
  • Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team
  • Coordinate with Case Managers and patient support staff
  • Connect patients to internal / external resources as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements :

Must have an active registration with the BBS as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist.

Work Environment

Our services are all outpatient and designed for those struggling with mild to moderate acuity levels. Offices are typically open Monday to Friday, from 8am-5pm.

Our therapists have support from Case Managers, Health Navigators, a scheduling team, administrators and a wide range of medical professionals so they can focus on providing sessions to patients.

New employees also have the option of participating in our buddy program so you get help from an extra guide during your first few months at FHCSD.

All licensed therapists work at a single location, have their own office, and can also work a hybrid schedule after the orientation period.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.

$94,000.00 - $112,000.00

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and / or experience.

In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
