Our Finance & Administration (F&A) team is seeking a full-time Director of Business Analytics to join our growth-oriented professional engineering and environmental consulting company.
We are seeking a proven financial leader to partner with Senior Executives as well as Operations and Corporate leaders to provide data-driven insights to improve the business.
In this role, you will lead the Finance Department’s Business Analytics function which includes oversight of a team of analysts and responsibility for preparing budgets / forecasts, distributing financial performance summaries, designing internal management reports, maintaining valuation models, and addressing ad hoc data requests.
You will be a key member of the Finance Leadership Team responsible for supporting key company initiatives and developing the vision for the overall finance department.

What you will do :
- Provide vision for the Company’s approach to analytics in developing informative and concise periodic report standards and utilizing advanced analytic techniques to extract key insights for decision-making.
- Work with company executives and operations leaders to understand their reporting needs and leverage data expertise to transform their requirements into compelling visualizations and analyses
- Oversee the Company’s budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes
- Oversee the analyses of performance results and communication protocols to leadership. Fulfill ad hoc data requests from end users throughout the Company.
- Ensure all team members have the skills and knowledge to perform all key tasks throughout periods of high and low demand, creating opportunities for everyone to contribute, learn and grow, and maintain a balanced workload.
- Partner with Digital Services, other F&A leaders, and other operations leaders to create and define key F&A initiatives and business needs;
translate those requirements to ensure technology needs are met and systems are built efficiently to support the organization.
Be a change agent for new processes, technology, or policies including the development of user procedures, guidelines, communication strategies, training, etc.
Desired Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA / CPA or relevant graduate degree a plus
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A and data analysis experience with 5+ years in finance leadership roles
- Business systems and data architecture expertise with a history of close IT team partnership
- Expert-level Excel skills with experience designing and maintaining complex financial models
- Experience with writing code and advanced queries in accessing various system data (Cognos, SQL, etc.)
- Demonstrated Mathematical and analytical acumen with ability to convert data into actionable insights
- Experience with professional services business model preferred. Engineering industry experience a plus
- High tolerance for uncertainty with ability to manage multiple priorities and analyze situations critically to develop creative solutions
- Experience leading a function and developing a remote team of at least 3 members
- Experience partnering with and presenting to top company executives and operations leaders
pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A : $ $157,000 - $214,000
Location B : $172,000 - $236,000
Location C : $188,000 - $257,000
