Position Overview :
Responsible for the planning, creation, implementation, and management of marketing and sales campaigns, RFP responses, public relations announcements, website design and social media pushes for GenCap corporate and project-based marketing.
Planning and implementation of corporate and project office marketing, branding and employee engagement with GenCap marketing and branding efforts.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing marketing & brand campaigns, proposal creation, content writing to transform GenCap's qualifications and experience into a compelling visual story to drive brand recognition and differentiation in the marketplace.
This candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality branding and marketing assets and RFP proposals. The perfect candidate comes from the construction industry and has demonstrated graphic design experience, coupled with excellent writing, communication and project management skills who thrives in different situations and can perform a variety of responsibilities.
The GenCap based Marketing Manager will report to the President of GenCap, be an active participant in our leadership team and also collaborate with our sister company marketing team of Director of Innovation and Marketing & Brand Manager.
Primary Responsibilities :
Responsible for the implementation and management of key marketing and sales deliverables and branding, including but not limited to :
Request for Proposals
- Responsible for the development and creation of RFP document proposal deliverables to third party customers and consultants, with a high degree of accuracy and legibility.
- Project manage the process from proposal timeline planner to setting expectations for content due dates, managing meetings and contributors to ensure high quality and timely output.
- Develop shell proposal documents as well as standard graphic and visual content to streamline future proposal efforts
- Create library of proposal content for easy access, focused on GenCap differentiators and common Owner / Customer proposal content requests, such as Team Integration / Collaboration, Project Approach, Team Organization, Quality, Safety, Scheduling, Partner Selection and Procurement and BIM / Visual Design and Construction
PR, Outreach & Event Strategy
- Develop and deliver on PR and events strategy to enhance brand reputation, customer interaction and reinforce leadership across the industry
- Manage GenCap's performance evaluation surveys. track customer success factors and report on trends.
- Develop and deliver corporate social media outreach to enhance organization reputation
- Create and oversee development of press releases, email blasts, media relations content, case studies, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content and overall corporate branding efforts
- Assist with planning and implementation of corporate and community events such as groundbreakings, grand openings, or open houses.
- Coordination and implementation of outreach and charitable / community events
Other Marketing
- Assist in the preparation of marketing proposals, presentations, flyers, maps, renderings, event invitations, email blasts and other materials as needed
- Liaison with third party marketing vendors such as photographers, signage, website and collateral vendor relationships
- Assist with updating company website
- Partner with GenCap BIM / VDC technology group to showcase and promote technology use in project planning and design, and benefits to customer
- Ensure that all materials are error proof; visually and grammatically and ensure consistent voice for the project
- Train internal staff on all new marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field
- 5-10 years of experience in marketing in the construction industry
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated copywriting and proofreading skills
- Firm grasp of on various marketing platforms, channels, best practices including social, digital and email marketing
- Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports
- Must have a high level of creativity
- Experience (or drive to learn) to be proficient in Google Analytics and other analytics-based tools and reporting
- Experience with creative software (Adobe Creative Suite) and Office products (Microsoft Office Suite, or Google Docs), InDesign, etc
- Experience with Sharepoint or proficiency using cloud based file sharing and collaboration tools
- Capable of reprioritizing demands, and understands the big picture
