About the Role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Finance Manager to join our fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will oversee the billing department and ensure that all billing processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant with company policies and procedures.
This role is critical in managing the day-to-day billing operations, resolving billing issues, as well as assisting in daily administrative tasks.
The Finance Manager should possess a strong knowledge of the web design and development industry along with experience in the billing and accounting field.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise the daily operations of the billing department
- Prepare and send invoices on a weekly basis
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and receipt filing for multiple bank accounts
- Monitor and manage the billing cycle and timelines
- Prepare and present regular billing reports and analysis to management
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements as needed
- Address and resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and prompt payment
- Receive and record payments and prepare deposits
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing and revenue
- Ensure that client records are accurate and up-to-date
- Assist in the preparation of contracts, proposals, and regular reports for external use
- Maintain organization of internal documentation and ensure that all company documents are kept up-to-date
- Act as the Accounts Payable / Receivable liaison, interfacing with the finance team, operations team, clients, vendors, etc.
- Light administrative work as necessary
Serious Candidates Should Possess :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of billing procedures and regulations
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities as well as the ability to speak confidently with the industry knowledge and understanding required for the role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to thoroughly review documentation for errors
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Prior experience working in a professional office environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications (Word, Excel, QuickBooks, GSuite, Adobe, Zoom, etc.)
- Familiarity with basic financial and HR principles
- Basic knowledge / understanding of Software / Development / Technologies
- Multi-line phone system experience (preferred, but not required)
