Summary : Responsible for the efficient operation of the branch office, including operations, sales, and client relations.
Assign and direct all work performed in branch and supervise all areas of operation. Hire, mentor, promote, discipline and terminate direct reports.
Foster a positive work environment and ensure customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities :
Direct all branch operation aspects including administration, customer service, project management and sales. Responsible for the branch budget and its financial performance.
Supervise, mentor and develop staff regarding service expectations, policies, education, procedures; and perform performance appraisals, discipline and terminations as necessary.
Facilitate regular employee meetings to discuss goals, disseminate company information, discuss operational issues, etc.
Oversee staff schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
Review local market for potential customers, initiate contact with potential customers, maintain relationships with current customers, and schedule meetings with customers to introduce or review services of the company.
Determine needs of customers / targets and negotiate scope of work and fee to convert sales opportunity into an engineering contract.
Service existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate activities required to resolve potential problems.
Manage client requests as required.
- Assign projects to and provide direction and mentoring for project managers and engineering staff. Direct assessments, investigations, construction management and design projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or construction related field, or formal technical program with industry experience.
Work Experience :
- A minimum of 10 (ten) years’ experience, preferably with a consulting and / or engineering firm.
- A minimum of 2 (two) years of sales and business development experience is strongly preferred.
Skills and Knowledge :
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills required to manage, motivate and develop staff. Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to effectively uncover and resolve complex customer and employee issues.
- Knowledge of materials and installation processes used in roofing, wall and other envelope assemblies preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and engineering calculations preferred.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
