Shift : 4 days on 4 days off, 6 : 00pm to 6 : 00am. Must be available to work weekends.
Essential Functions :
- Address any dispatch related issues that come up after hours.
- Field calls from drivers related to breakdowns, accidents, and other equipment related issues.
- Work with terminals to assign resources to meet customer requirements under company and regulatory agency mandates.
- Enter complete and accurate data about the customer’s orders into the computer system.
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other terminal locations to ensure customer’s requirements are met while getting the most efficient use of available resources.
- Handle emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Check drivers’ hours of service and maintenance condition reports of selected equipment.
- Issue EFS to address repairs and breakdowns.
- Provide drivers with 24 / 7 / 365 access to live assistance when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidates must have knowledge of DOT regulations, safety policies, and other Regulatory bodies having jurisdiction over motor carriers.
- Experience with Outlook (E-mail) and AS400 is desired.
- Trucking Industry background a must.
- Clear written and verbal communications.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Must maintain confidential information.
- Ability to analyze and resolve situations and problems.
- Must have a talent to handle multiple priorities and projects.
- Better than average skills working with computer programs.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Trucking / tank truck or Logistics experience.
- Preferred qualifications : Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
