Job Summary :

The Financial Business Systems Analyst III is responsible for supporting advanced functionalities within Costpoint and TESS.

The focus of this position is to work closely with end-users to understand business objectives, processes, and context to provide high-level support and suggest system enhancements as needed.

The activities include but are not limited to end-user support, system maintenance, functional documentation, and testing.

Accountabilities :

ServeasCostpoint and TESSexpert.

Provide advance level support to global users.

Configure and ensure proper functionality of the system.

Troubleshoot advanced application malfunctions.

Document system processes and keep them up to date.

Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements.

Participate in functional, integration and user acceptance testing.

Provide analytic support by extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various databases using complex Excel functions.

Manages data mappings.

Support and / or lead departmental learning initiatives.

Problem Solving & Impact :

Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Exercise’s judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

Determines discrepancies and implements changes with management approval.

Serves as subject matter expert; may lead work teams or others in complex tests, analyses or projects.

Recommends and develops changes as needed. Recommends and / or takes corrective action, when necessary, based on acquired knowledge and observation of best practices.

Develops or adapts new processes and procedures based upon changes in laws and regulations or industry practices.

Provides influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

Applied Knowledge & Skills :

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong troubleshooting skills;

Has advanced level knowledge of the principles involved in supporting functionality and design of corporate level Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Has significant experience with automated financial reporting, government accounting practices, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) systems.

Independently analyzes financial, budgetary, and forecasting data and identifies key variances, trends, and risks for management.

Makes recommendations for change or improvement and implements system updates as needed.

Designs ad-hoc system test scenarios, documents defects, and audits system processes. Prepares written and oral analysis and recommendations for management on complex issues.

Establishes relationships with peers inside and outside the organization to ensure best practices are being optimized.

May lead team in preparing documents and materials to be used in systems training for managers including one-on-one training, classroom training, and web-based training.

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Supervision Given / Received :

Work is performed with minimal direction and supervision.

Participates in determining objectives of assignment.

Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.

Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

May implement departmental work plans and provide input for performance reviews with the assistance of a higher-level manager.

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience :

Minimum 8+ years of progressively responsible financial analysis & reporting work, in addition to broad Enterprise Resource System (ERP) experience in a corporate office.

Expertise in Costpoint OR Microsoft Dynamics DS365 required.

Expertise in Costpoint and TESS required.

SQL knowledge required.

Musthaveadvance MicrosoftExcel skills.

Experience working on large scale projects desirable.

Experience with process and workflow documentation required.

Accounting knowledge required.

Works independently under minimal supervision.

Excellentcommunicationskills.

Experience working with non-native English speakers strongly preferred.

Prior experience with international or cross-cultural context is preferred.

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift 5-50 lb.

Technology to be Used :

Laptop, Microsoft applications (, Office 365, SharePoint, Skype / Zoom / Teams), cell phone / mobile technology, and standard office equipment.

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidate FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location.

When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to : relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.

Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account.

Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours / week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year.

Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.

US Based Hiring Salary Range : $103,000 - $126,000

International hiring ranges will differ based on location.
