Supply Chain Relationship Manager
Facility : Trenton and Remote
General Description
This position will manage Hutchinson US-based supplier's performance on on-time delivery and product quality according to specifications and in adherence to contractual agreements.
To ensure the supplier delivers and executes according to existing KPI targets. If required, drive changes in the supplier's operational and quality management processes to ensure product quality processes are adhered to internally and externally.
Interface coordinating with other functions in Hutchinson.
Specific Duties
Using your knowledge in production and quality management, analytical thinking, professional network, and excellent people skills, you will be responsible for the following :
- Follow all applicable environmental, health, and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
- Improve supplier performance by driving the execution of existing delivery and quality agreements and improving your suppliers' actions.
- Short-term, on-site drumbeat to ensure high frequency, follow-up of improvement / action plans with suppliers, and support in case of issues / crises to resolve open items.
- Active supplier development to define and execute improvement plans to increase capacities and capabilities on critical deliveries, rate development, and process efficiencies.
- Validation and acceptance of product quality to be released towards volume operations.
- Ensure execution of supplier-related issue resolution, Non-Conformity Notifications, and Delivery Delays.
- Ensure that the definition and execution of the Supplier Quality Roadmap are in line with Hutchinson quality performance standards.
- Led quality escalations and organized cross-sector teams, including suppliers, to solve disturbances in the factory and field due to production quality.
- Ensure supply chain performance for US-based suppliers during production and / or projects related to introducing new products.
- Align activities / actions to establish tracking of optimization measurement at suppliers' KPIs concerning on-time delivery commitments and on-quality delivery targets.
- Develop long-term relationships and establish effective communication between suppliers and the Aerospace Defense Industry Purchasing team in Levallois, France.
- Line of Balance tracking and on-site spot checks to ensure the robustness of delivery commitments.

Qualifications
- A master’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, optical, industrial), Supply Chain Management, Business Science, or master craftsman / technician with further training as a technical business administrator and several years of professional experience is preferred.
- Five plus years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain management in a complex technical environment.
- Experience managing suppliers on quality performance, preferably in a complex high-tech aviation industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Green or Black Belt / Lean Six Sigma experience is an advantage.
- Cost-conscious action and independent working methods
- Knowledge of procurement, preferably in the aviation sector
- Must have flexibility, team spirit, and assertiveness skills.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and ERP
- A second language in French is beneficial but not required.
- The ability to travel 50 65%.
- Experience in quality improvement & operational excellence in manufacturing environment
- Experience in complex work environments with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in building and maintaining strategic relations with suppliers.
- Deep understanding and experience with Quality Management Systems and Tools.
- Sustainability knowledge (as life cycle analysis) is beneficial but not required
