Job Summary :
This role will focus on several Health Equity / DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) projects to help progress our Mission, Vision, and Values.
This requires a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and communicate with different groups.
This part-time (0.50FTE) position is a new role and will require flexibility and open communication. DEI efforts are department-wide and may require flexible sharing of tasks with other department stakeholders and Administrative Partners.
Training will be provided as necessary.
Key Responsibilities :
DEI at the Bedside : a project that incorporates educational conversations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion into our inpatient neurology rotations.
Some data gathering, survey distribution, and colleague education will be a part of this role.
- Funding searches : assist with searching for funding opportunities both within and outside the institution to continually support the evolution of the DEI group.
- Grants / sponsorships : providing administrative support to keep up with deadlines and submission requirements.
- In collaboration with manager and DEI team, develops PowerPoint (or similar software) presentations and adds additional content / detail based on team’s feedback.
- In collaboration with the manager, analyze current processes, create, and maintain process flow maps and data tracking, for example, DEI-neurology strategic planning.
- Enter and maintain data in department databases (e.g., FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Access, and Excel); works closely with Neurology IT to obtain, clean and organize project survey data.
- Serve as liaison with community leaders, hospital and university staff, and internal and external research institutions.
- Assist with visa sponsorship applications and processing
- Other duties as assigned

Onsite / Hybrid This community-based role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO with the possibility of some remote work.
