This pivotal role is designed to enhance military recruiting programs and broaden reach through strategic partnerships and targeted initiatives.
The Veteran Talent Program Lead will focus on scaling efforts and driving recruitment strategies that align with Skills-first initiatives, ensuring a robust and diverse pipeline of military talent.
The role involves collaboration with the Veteran’s Leadership Network (VLN) and external partners like Hiring Our Heroes & DOD Skill Bridge.
Responsibilities : First 3 Months :
First 3 Months :
- Assess and optimize current recruitment strategies for external partners, military bases, and veteran centers.
- Develop a strategic framework to scale military recruiting programs, including Hiring Our Heroes & DOD Skill Bridge.
- Consult on training plans for new DOD Skill Bridge opportunities and support related recruitment activities.
- Recruit and provide program support for Hiring Our Heroes cohorts.
3 12 Months :
- Drive veteran engagement, recruitment, and program support activities related to Skill Bridge programs.
- Research and recommend innovative programs, partnerships, and talent pipelines for enhancing military and veteran talent attraction.
- Build relationships with external vendors, military bases, and veteran centers to promote the company and attract candidates.
- Develop local networks and build candidate pipelines using social media, network contacts, internet postings, and community outreach initiatives.
- Build long-term relationships with both passive and active military / veteran prospects.
- Oversee and drive participation in national military events and recruiting conferences.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform strategy and adjust program goals as needed.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Military background is a plus).
- Experience : 5-6 years of experience in recruitment or talent management, with 1-2 years of program management experience.
