The Asphalt Project Superintendent position manages union laborers and operators on Heavy Highway Civil projects within the in St. Louis Metro Area. Our supervisors are required to have strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Reviews Contract DocumentsManages and leads operators and laborers throughout the duration of the projectSchedules workers for daily tasks on each projectManages day to day operations & safety for each projectAssists in gathering data for billing purposesReviews and approves materials and equipment for project work.Coordinatesactivities,materials,procurement,&otherrelatedactivitieswithProjectManager&FieldStaffCommunicates progress and prepares appropriate reports as needed by Project Manager, Project Director, Owner's Rep, Architect,Represents company at weekly Project Owner's meetingsResponsiblefortheschedulingandperformanceofalloperatorsandlaborerson each projectSupervises, reviews, and coordinates submittalsAbility to build and execute a project according to planSome travel is requiredQualifications :
5 years of asphalt experienceGeneral understanding of reading plans & specifications in accordance to the construction of a project.General understanding of the IDOT & MODOT standard specification for road and bridge construction.Knowledge of pay items and job costing.GPS knowledge is a plusSome travel is required
