Consignor Relations Specialist

We are at a pivotal growth stage and hiring several additional team members; Consignor Relations Specialist being one of them.

Your love and knowledge of fashion, combined with your exceptional attention to detail and work ethic, will help set you up for success in this role.

You will manage and be responsible for assessing all of the items ("intake") that our consignors would like to resell. Your combined skills / experience in current market trends, understanding our audience, the relevance and appropriateness of intake items, and pricing, will allow you to communicate (and educate) our consignors on why the result might be "we’d love these items" or "we’re going to pass" and why.

Always accompanying both those messages is gratitude. We love our shoppers and consignors equally!

On a daily basis you will be responsible for authentication, pricing, responding to emails, texts, and in person questions, and providing updates to consignors.

Your day may also include assisting with other tasks such as steaming, cleaning & prepping items for the sales floor or Lives, and other similar tasks.

As a subject-matter expert, you will be responsible for staying abreast of trends, pricing, designers, and you’ll share your knowledge during weekly team and staff meetings.

You’ll bring your passion and expertise for the luxury consignment market to The Refind Closet and you’ll translate that into an exceptional experience for our consignors, your direct team, and all other teammates at The Refind Closet.

Deliverables you’ll be measured on :

  • Facilitate luxury consignment appointments, working directly with consignors to provide a relaxed mutually beneficial experience that educates them on the value of their consignment items.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of pricing trends and the sell-through velocity of their respective category in our marketplace.
  • Keep up to date with changes and trends in the luxury market; understand authentication and brand compliance standards.
  • Communicate pricing and authentication methodologies in person and through email, text, and phone.
  • Be accountable for the conversion rate of appointments to consignments and eventually, sell-through.
  • Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, steaming, cleaning & prepping items for the sales floor or Lives, and other similar tasks.

Experience you’ll bring to the team :

  • Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, or Apparel.
  • Ideally, 3+ years experience working in the luxury space in a customer facing role.
  • Sales and / or customer service experience is mandatory.
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional experience for our consignors each and every day.
  • Knowledge of designer / luxury pricing and authenticity standards.
  • Polished, professional presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex, and / or time-sensitive situations.
  • Exceptional communicator (both verbal and written) - you understand the power and importance of building and maintaining relationships vs.

transactional selling.

  • The skill and willingness to take initiative and to proactively anticipate organizational needs, including the ability to meet external and internal deadlines as required.
  • Ability to foresee and proactively address potential obstacles well in advance of intake shipment arrivals, and the ability to problem solve, sometimes instantaneously, to ensure proper execution of the valuation processes.

Schedule Requirement :

Ideally the flexibility to work retail hours including Saturdays & Sundays. Our store is open until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and until 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Please apply directly through LinkedIn or reach out to our Talent Acquisition Consultant : [email protected].
