Job Description
Seeking for a qualified candidate to be a full-time Program Director for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. The BSN Program Director reports to the Executive Director of the School of Nursing and works collaboratively with the Executive Director and all appropriate faculty and staff to develop and implement strategic plans, programs, and policies.
The Program Director will teach at least one course each semester in his or her area of expertise. The right candidate must have the ability to proactively identify problems and seek solutions through creative and critical thinking and the must have ability to obtain, analyze, and apply data.

Essential Functions : · Provide leadership and management in the areas enrollment / admissions issues, retention, advisement, maintenance of student records, and student outcomes to facilitate student program success.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, provide coordination of all activities related to licensure and accreditation · Support the Executive Director's efforts to engage all communities of interest for the School of Nursing in order to keep the curriculum current and attract needed resources to the School.
- Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort. · Monitors, assesses, and initiates strategies designed to utilize ATI resources across the curriculum to promote a culture of continuous improvement in NCLEX performance.
- Monitors all program publications to ensure compliance with institutional and accreditation guidelines. · Generates needed communications, reporting, changes, and representations with accreditation commissions and agencies.
Qualifications
- A master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration;
- Two years' experience teaching in pre- or post-licensure registered nursing programs;
- One year's continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience direct patient care as a registered nurse
- Former College level educational background
- Must hold a valid, active license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Action oriented, innovative thinking, and flexible.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work within a deadline-oriented environment.
