The Medical Assistant Apprentice is entering into a WA DOL registered Apprenticeship program with Pacific Medical Centers, in conjunction with the Washington Association of Community and Migrant Health Centers (WACMHC).
This position functions under the supervision of a Certified Medical Assistant coach and within the scope of practice that the MA-C coach has determined is appropriate based upon the education and skills requirements of the WACMHC Apprentice Program;
and, as defined by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC). Medical Assistant Apprentices are responsible for providing direct patient care and will practice up to the skills learned and approved to practice through the Apprentice program guidelines.
MA Apprentices will apply current healthcare concepts and assist with routine or general clinical responsibilities that may contribute directly and indirectly to patient care under the supervision of the MA-C or Provider.
