Description

We are a rapidly growing team with plenty of interesting technical and business challenges to solve. We seek a self-starter, who is willing to learn fast, adapt well to changing requirements and work with cross functional teams.

Data quality is our goal and we expect you to meet our high standards on data and software quality. As part of this role, you will :

  • Architect, develop, and test large scale data solutions, to provide efficient analytical and reporting capabilities across Apple's global and regional sales and finance teams.
  • Develop highly scalable data pipelines to load data from various source systems, use Apache Airflow to orchestrate, schedule and monitor the workflows.
  • Build generic and reusable solutions that can scale and utilize various technologies and frameworks to solve our complex business requirements.
  • Ensure data quality through setting up data quality management frameworks and anomaly detection capabilities.
  • Be required to understand existing solutions, fine-tune them and support them as needed.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in data architecture, dimensional modeling, data warehousing and data engineering
  • Strong expertise in design and development on cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery and Big-Data platforms like Spark, Dremio, Hadoop, Hive
  • Proficiency in design and development of custom ETL pipelines using SQL and scripting languages (Python / Shell / Golang) and workflow management tools like Airflow
  • Proficiency in advanced SQL, performance tuning
  • Experience with modern data architecture like data lakes, data lakehouse and cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud
  • Experience with version control systems, CI / CD practices, testing, and migration tools for database and software
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, in a fast paced environment
  • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work individually, navigating through ambiguity or as part of a team

Education & Experience

BS or MS in Engineering / Computer Science

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

You'll also receive benefits including : Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
