Overview

Position Summary :

The ideal candidate will have experience in low-voltage distribution design for large projects involving multiple teams of engineers and architects. You will work directly with clients and stakeholders to uncover value add and to overcome challenges. This is a growing firm with promotional opportunities and a diverse project portfolio.

Base pay range :

$90,000.00 / yr - $120,000.00 / yr

Location : Chattanooga, TN

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, educational, and institutional facilities.
  • Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to verify design intent and resolve issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design for building systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit are required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
