The medical assistant will support providers by providing caring, personalized, and efficient remote handling of patients.
In addition, provides appropriate feedback to the medical team, follow-up information to patients and correctly input data as required.
Job Responsibilities : Calling high risk patients frequently to ensure their needs are being addressed so they don't go to the hospital if lot needed Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and exam room utilization by efficiently scheduling appointments.
Coordinates with medical offices to address patient needs such as refills, referrals processing and appointments scheduling Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information per HIPAA regulations.
Encourages patient compliance with preventative care by reaching out to patients and reminding them when they are due for preventive exams and screenings.
Performs all other duties as trained and requested by provider and / or management. Candidates must have : Communication Skills : Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, peers, and management. Ability to communicate with proper etiquette. Reasoning Ability : Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to patients and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision. Organizational Skills : Ability to follow up on leads, schedule consultations, obtain patient consent for treatment and manage time management skills.
Other Skills : Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service. Need to be reliable and outgoing, detail-oriented problem solver with exceptional customer service skills.
Will exhibit high attention to detail, dexterity, and hand / eye coordination. Must be punctual and can prioritize and multitask.
Additional Requirements : At least 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant. Highschool graduate or equivalent Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
