Innovation Director
The Innovation Director is responsible for analyzing and integrating new technologies and work processes that allow the organization to gain greater efficiencies, reduce costs, and provide our clients with the benefits of new technology.
You will be responsible for developing an innovation strategy, managing the idea generation process, conducting research and development, fostering collaboration and partnerships, establishing, and managing innovation processes, and measuring and reporting on innovation efforts.
Initiatives will be determined by the Innovation Director in agreement with the CEO. Each will need to include projected profitability metrics, implementation planning, and timing.
Initiatives should leverage and help scale the Company’s existing services.

- Creating an augmented reality’ offering.
- Integrate AI software solutions to improve data processing efficiency.
This is a full-time salary exempt position and reports to the CEO.
Overall Objectives
- Develop and implement innovation strategies for ZELUS.
- Managing the organization's idea generation process, including soliciting ideas from employees and stakeholders, evaluating ideas, and prioritizing ideas based on their potential impact and feasibility.
- Conduct market research, identifying emerging trends and technologies, and developing new products and services.
- Foster and collaborate with external organizations, including universities, research institutes, startups, and other businesses.
- Manage processes for innovation within the organization, including ideation, prototyping, testing, and scaling.
- Measure and report on the organization's innovation efforts, including tracking key performance indicators, evaluating the success of innovation projects, and reporting to management.
Preferred Experience
- Basic commercial / industrial construction knowledge.
- Project management experience on construction related projects or similar.
- History of basic financial management.
- Construction / Architectural related technical certifications & degrees.
- Previous leadership and management experience.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office environment.
- Flexibility to work various schedules and longer hours, when necessary, with little or no notice.
- Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mobility required within an office and construction site environments.
- Ability to occasionally lift to twenty pounds.
