About The Position
Job Title : Echocardiographer Job Specialty : Echocardiography Job Duration : Permanent Shift : 8-hour days, Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, every 3rd or 4th weekend from 7 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM, with on-call duties one night every 3rd weekday and a whole weekend once every 12th week.
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Previous experience in a similar role preferred License : Valid license in Cardiac Ultrasound from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required Certifications : - Current CPR certification- Registry eligible and obtain valid certification within 12 months of hire Must-Have : - Associate of Science degree in a healthcare field and successful completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program- Successful completion of a two-year Echocardiogram training program Job Description : Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and produce cardiac images according to policy / protocol.
- Perform examinations including adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pediatric echocardiograms.
- Ensure a high level of quality in all exams and provide the interpreting physician with necessary information for accurate diagnosis.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide procedures timely and efficiently.- Demonstrate ability to image various anatomical structures and differentiate artifacts.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs., 150 lbs. shared lifting.- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Show proficiency in general computer skills and applications.
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.- Share responsibility to cover call, weekends, and holidays.
