Laboratory Assistant - Research Vivarium Husbandry (Temporary)
Short-term assignment Monday - Friday $20-$21 per hour
This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in research vivarium environments with a focus on animal care and facility management.
Responsibilities :
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of the animal facility and related equipment.
- Operate and manage cage washing systems, ensuring proper cleaning of animal cages and equipment.
- Maintain both clean and dirty sides of the cage wash area to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Assist with general facility upkeep and maintain cleanliness of all areas.
Requirements :
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.
- Comfortable working in an environment with animals and biohazardous materials.
