We have positions available for Full Time CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT / PATIENT CARE REPRESENTATIVE. You must have the ability to work 12 hour shifts during the weekdays and 8 hour shifts on weekends and willing to work at other urgent care locations when needed.

Our CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANTS, work under the direction of a Provider and Clinical Director, assisting in the delivery of healthcare to our patients.

Our CMAs are Multifunctional and perform a wide variety of duties with the main focus of giving our patients the best experience by performing Clinical, Back and Front Office duties.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following :

Medical Assistant duties :

  • Ability to work 8 or 12 hours shifts during the week and at least 3 weekend day shifts of 8 hours.
  • Have a commitment to service and quality,
  • Can effectively maintain relationships with patients and medical staff,
  • Be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced often stressful environment.
  • Must be familiar with medical terminology,
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required,
  • Interviewing incoming patients prior to admission to gather demographic, insurance and emergency information,
  • Ensuring completion of paperwork and explaining facility policies,
  • Be able to maintain clinical records / documentation, data entry
  • Administering medications, giving injections, taking vital signs, phlebotomy,
  • Preparing patients for tests, procedures,
  • Participating in the Occupational Medicine Program which includes providing services as part of our Mobile Van Care Team.

Patient Account Representative duties :

Answers phones in a professional manner. Screens or forwards calls to the appropriate person, providing information or taking messages, while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Retrieves messages from voice mail and returns calls if applicable.

  • Conducts follow up calls to the appropriate patient from the previous day; schedules follow-up appointment if requested.
  • Greet patients entering the facility with a warm and friendly smile, determines nature and purpose of visit. Facilitates patient flow by notifying the clinical team of patient’s arrival, being ware of delays and communicating this with patients and clinical staff.
  • Scans medical documents into the patient’s electronic medical record. Maintains patient account by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.

Protects patient’s rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical, and financial information.

  • Schedules and registers patient for visit. Verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Maintains reception and lobby area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Knowledgeable of what forms to use for the appropriate visit and procedure

Required Qualifications :

  • H.S. Diploma required
  • Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
  • Certification preferred
  • Phlebotomy - 2 years
  • BLS Certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of CMA experience in urgent care and lab setting preferred
