Qualifications and Experience Education / Degree Required · Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Preferred · Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience Required · Minimum two years of diverse and well rounded clinical experience is required. Preferred · Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure Required · Current licensure from Massachusetts Board of Registration as Registered Nurse. Preferred Skills (Specific learned activity gained through training (e.
g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.) Required · Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.

As a Registered Nurse Sub acute Supervisor at Mass General Brigham, you will coordinate all services within the facility during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
You will actively manage nursing staffing to ensure safe and effective care while adhering to budgetary constraints. You will also coordinate admission and discharge functions, serve as the primary contact for both internal and external customers, and provide leadership and supervision to your team.
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with licensing and accrediting agency standards and participating in hospital committees and performance improvement processes.

Key Responsibilities - Assume administrative, operational, and clinical responsibilities for all services in the facility during designated shifts, demonstrating the appropriate use of resources.
- Provide supervision, support, and mentoring to nursing staff to promote professional development and adherence to clinical excellence standards.
- Demonstrate appropriate intervention in all situations, such as patient condition deterioration, disruptive behavior, and equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet coverage demands. - Delegate work to staff consistent with their abilities, professional development, and unit needs.
- Foster patient / resident happiness and align efforts with broader action plans. - Share observations related to staff performance with the appropriate nurse manager and participate in staff performance reviews as per organizational guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain department compliance to meet licensing and accrediting agency standards. - Practice should align with the American Nurses' Association's Nursing Administration : Scope and Standards of Practice and the American Organization of Nurse Executives' Nurse Executive Competencies.

- Qualifications - Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Massachusetts. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Nursing (BSN) required;
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Nursing or related field preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic work setting. - Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software.
Environment - This position requires working night shifts, including weekends and holidays. - Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving patients.
